READING LOGS
· Reading logs must be handed in on time. For marking period 4, late reading logs will not be accepted. Instead, the student has the choice to turn it in late for 10/20 points, or they can complete a separate assignment given by me in order to attempt to get full credit for the missing log.
· Late reading logs OR separate assignments will only be accepted in the week the reading log was originally due. Reading logs will not be accepted any later than the Friday after they were due.
· Logs are graded out of 20 points.

HOW TO GET A FULL 20 POINTS ON A READING LOG
- Make sure all dates are accounted for. The reading log you are handing in should start from the day after the last one ended.
- Make sure you are using a variety of connections ... use the chart on the Student Materials table. If you are basically just summarizing the book or just making predictions, you will not get full credit. You need to make different types of connections.
- Write neatly. If I can't read it, how can I grade you?
- Read a few pages every single night.
- Hand it in on time.
